Promo Disruption - Increasing promotion outside your own ecosystem

Wish your promo had a smarter digital distribution life? And how about the old question - Where can I find something worth watching on TV for me?

Some companies have invented tech that can automatically re-distribute promotion and other content from a broadcasters’ asset management systems to digital platforms. Suddenly all the promos that TV channels produce can end up in web and app based TV guides, on the EPGs of TV providers, in the entertainment editorials of online magazines and on a multitude of social media platforms. Combining this with programmatic buying, broadcasters can now connect people’s internet habits and behaviour with promos that may pique their tastes and interest.

The perfectly timed movement of objects forming compositions tells the story and forms a desired emotion in the viewer’s mind. This can be achieved by number of ways, such as the placement of an object or character into the frame; its movements, the angle and camera position – animation 101. Truth in a Post Truth Era

No one really trusts what the media is telling them, much less brands.

We are now told that we live in an era of post-truth. An era where the actual truth matters less and less, as fact become distorted and, if said often enough, anything can be believed.

As the media landscape continues to shift and the fundamental idea of ‘the truth' becomes more eroded and disregarded, the mistrust of brands would continue to grow.

The messages of brands are omnipresent, everywhere, all the time. We are bombarded with them daily from noon till night and to have any chance at cutting through, brands need not just got to be better but have to be smarter too.

To allow their audiences to relate, invest and engage, brands now need to find ways to gain their trust. If trust comes from an open, honest message — of communicating a truth – then brands need to find ways of doing this through real emotional insights, integrity and being relevant to people’s actual experiences. By constantly questioning brand narratives and confronting difficult truths, brands can create an honest and powerful dialogue with an increasingly sceptical audience.

Should you be unable to attend this event and desire a refund, we require notice of such in writing on or before 5PM PST, 14 Feb, 2017. Cancellations made after this time will not be eligible for a refund. All cancellations are subject to an administration fee equal to 30% of the invoiced purchase price. All prices are quoted in EUR€. Should you wish to transfer your registration to another person within your same company, we require notice of such in writing, a minimum of 48 hours prior to the event. Registrations are not transferable outside of the company who purchased it. If for any reason whatsoever the conference is cancelled, producer shall have no liability in excess of a conference fee reimbursement. Producer reserves the right, with reasonable notice, to change program dates and venues and assumes no liability for the changes.
