WTTG Washington, D.C., Gets Edgy to Promote Weather App

by Devon Thomas  |  03.13.2017

Fox-owned station WTTG Washington, D.C. has decided to push the envelope in two unique weather promos.

The station recently aired the two weather promos courtesy of Scott Perkins, head of WTTG’s creative services department.

In the clip above, Fox 5 News morning meteorologist Tucker Barnes starts taking off his clothes as he walks to the set, just to be told by the station that they are promoting a weather app and not the weather abs.

Another clip, below, shows the choice bad words viewers may use when adverse weather conditions hit—be it rains, snow or strong winds—with the curse words represented by dashes.
