Wonder The Dog Delivers Toys and Joy for KGW’s Great Toy Drive

by Devon Thomas  |  11.15.2016

KGW, Tegna’s NBC affiliate in Portland, Ore., has launched a cute and clever promo for its 30th annual KGW Great Toy Drive, through Dec. 17.

The campaign is supported by a one-minute clip of a generous Golden Retriever named “Wonder” who collects new and unwrapped toys for children and less fortunate families in Oregon and Southwest Washington state.

“The KGW Great Toy Drive is an event that truly brings out the best in our community,” D.J. Wilson, KGW general manager, told TVNewsCheck.

The KGW Great Toy Drive, which the station has run annually for more than 30 years, takes place now through December 17.

All donated toys will be distributed with the help of 120 local nonprofit organizations and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
