Sol Doten Joins Ovation as VP of Content Distribution Marketing

Ovation TV on Wednesday named Sol Doten as vice president of content distribution marketing. He will report to John Malkin, evp of content distribution and will be based at the art network’s Santa Monica headquarters.

Doten will lead Ovation’s business-to-business affiliate communications efforts and develop the channel’s distributor partnership marketing programs.

Prior to joining Ovation, Doten was VP, communications at Fox Networks Group, where he oversaw communications support for Fox Television Group, as well as Fox Sports Media Group, National Geographic Partners and Fox’s International portfolio across Latin America, Europe and Asia.

“Sol’s blend of communications experience and proven strategic marketing expertise make him the ideal leader to take our distributor value-building efforts and client relationships to the next level,” said Malkin. “He joins the network at a very exciting time and we’re confident he will be able to successfully build on the tremendous momentum we have generated thus far this year.”

Doten is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Association of Cable Communicators, CTAM, the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications and PromaxBDA.
