Seasonal Posters Take Viewers Through ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’

by Cate Lecuyer  |  10.18.2016

In season one of the original Gilmore Girls, Lorelai explains why winter is her favorite season:

“Everything is magical when it snows. The clothes are great. Coats, scarves, gloves, hats … do you know the best things in my life have happened when it’s snowed?”

Although Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bleidel) are missing much of that cold-weather garb in the key art poster “Winter,” it’s a good reminder that the series revival premieres November 25 (Black Friday).

Netflix revealed four posters that feature mother and daughter posing for the four seasons, with each poster coordinating with the streaming service’s four new 90-minute episodes for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

The show picks up 10 years after the original, which aired from 2000 - 2007. Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai are together, Lorelai’s mother Emily (Kelly Bishop) is a widow, and Rory is pursuing her journalism career and facing a media industry in the midst of upheaval.

Returning cast members also include Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki and Melissa McCarthy as Sookie.
