Riot’s ‘Warwick: The Wrath of Zaun’ Teases Full Rework of Champion

by Devon Thomas  |  01.10.2017

Riot released a new trailer showing the reworked League of Legends champion, Warwick in a captivating trailer for the upcoming Warwick: The Wrath of Zaun video game.

Champion is getting a full refresh, and Riot Games is celebrating by showing a glimpse of his new look, and some fresh moves, in a new teaser, above.

The nearly two-minute promo shows the beast terrorizing the underworld and tearing after two Zaun criminals, specifically Boggin and Fleg, as they try to flee the city. The bad guys make it to a pod, but one of the duo is sacrificed to the creature as one tries to escape. The werewolf pounces across the chasm, tearing its mechanical hand through the metal chassis.

The upcoming Champion refresh gives Warwick a full visual redesign, with luminous canisters on his back and metal armor on his arm, leading to a spiked glove.

If you look carefully, you can see some abilities in action, too. Like his sniff ability, which now seemingly buffs him up when he smells blood, growing in size as chemicals pump through his body.
