Netflix Introduces Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf in ‘Lemony Snicket’ Trailer

Netflix offers up a new glimpse of the sinister Count Olaf in the trailer for Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events which debuts January 13.

The evil character, played by actor Neil Patrick Harris, is the orphaned Baudelaire children’s new guardian.

Olaf, however, is not the savior the young children were seeking, as it turns out he is just after their wealth and is a “thief and a murderer” who “has so far escaped capture”—and that’s not even the half of what the sinister character has in store for the series.

The children “haven’t the faintest idea” of how horrible he can be. He warns, in the short one-minute trailer above.

Netflix’s adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s book series also stars Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes as Violet and Klaus Baudelaire.
