HOT SPOT: Rick Ross Hosts His First MTV 'Woodies'

by Brief Staff  |  03.16.2017

The 2017 MTV Woodies, held every year at Austin’s South by Southwest, is about hearing and feeling new music. This year’s host, Rick Ross, performed at the Woodies as a young artist. His story is the show’s story.

To create the above spot, MTV filmed a moving portrait of Ross, and the stories he told between takes became the spot.

The 2017 MTV Woodies premiere live from Austin on Thursday, March 16 at 11/10c.
