On Tuesday, FX released its latest season three promo that’s a little bit different, visually-emulating the graphic horror novel in which the show is based upon. Using bloody gory elements from the show, the promo paints The Strain’s world red while hinting at battles to come.

Season three of The Strain airs on FX Sunday, August 28 at 10 p.m.
