First Look Promo, Moving Key Art for Showtime’s ‘The Affair’

by Cate Lecuyer  |  10.07.2016

Showtime released a first teaser, the official poster key art, and an animated version of the key art for season three of The Affair.

Starring Dominic West, Ruth Wilson, Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson, The Affair explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together, as told through multiple perspectives.

Season three picks up three years after Noah’s (West) admission of guilt at the murder trial of Scott Lockhart. Alison (Wilson) has been raising daughter Joanie alongside Cole (Jackson) and Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno) in an attempt to build their own future. For Helen (Tierney), life appears to continue on, but just below the surface of a successful business and a bustling home lies uncertainty with her boyfriend Vik (Omar Metwally), instability amongst her children, and an unshakeable feeling of guilt. The past continues to haunt each character.

Season three also brings on Irène Jacob as Juliette Le Gall, a new love interest of Noah’s, providing a fifth perspective.

Guest stars will include Jennifer Esposito and Brendan Fraser.

Created by Sarah Treem (House of Cards, In Treatment) and Hagai Levi (In Treatment) created the series, Treem also serves as executive producer along with Jeffrey Reiner (Friday Night Lights).

The Affair returns November 20 at 10 p.m.
