‘Animal Kingdom’ Ramps Up the Action in Season 2

by Cate Lecuyer Marian  |  04.19.2017

The Cody boys are back, and discovering that although crime technically does pay, “the ones that last are the ones that know what to do with the money once they get it.”

That’s according to Janine “Smurf” Cody (Ellen Barkin, Sea of Love, This Boy’s Life, Oceans 13), in TNT’s trailer for season two of Animal Kingdom.

Barkin stars as the matriarch of a southern California family whose excessive lifestyle is fueled by criminal activities. The adrenaline-charged drama also features Scott Speedman (The Strangers, The Vow), Shawn Hatosy (Southland, Reckless), Ben Robson (Vikings, Dracula: The Dark Prince), Jake Weary (Pretty Little Liars, It Follows) and Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders, An Inspector Calls).

Animal Kingdom returns May 30 at 9 p.m./8 p.m. Central.
