Adult Swim Dives into TV Everywhere

Adult Swim dove head first into TV Everywhere Wednesday, launching live streaming on both its website and smartphone apps. 

Users will have to be TV subscribers to access the live streams, logging on with account information from their provider. The Turner Broadcasting System-owned network has already offered online original and exclusive online video on both its website and apps.

Nearly four million users have downloaded the network’s Watch [adult swim] smartphone app. averages 3.6 million unique users each month. In addition to online video, the site also features 130 online games like Amateur Surgeon and Robot Unicorn Attack. 

Brief Take: A network aimed squarely at the young and plugged-in set realizes it needs to move quickly on TV Everywhere to stay on top.
