Miami-based 2C Creative teamed with Tegna Media to craft a multi-tiered campaign for Tegna’s new show, T.D. Jakes.
Featuring the show’s tagline, “one moment can change the rest,” the spots aim to capture the show’s mission, which is to help viewers improve their lives.
“[Y]ou want to launch every new daytime show in a fresh way that clearly communicates the show’s message and really showcases the host’s personality. By coming up with this multi-faceted rollout, we were able to do just that,” said creative director, writer and producer Marni Wagner in a statement.
With the goal of expanding Jakes’ reach beyond his existing fan-base, 2C crafted a campaign that featured five different spots rolled out in three phases.
The first phase provided a long-lead graphic tease, the second included custom-portrait and concept-shoot spots, and the third incorporated clips, giving audiences their first look at the actual show.
T.D. Jakes, starring Bishop T.D. Jakes, premiered on Monday, Sept. 12 and is airing on mostly Tegna-owned TV stations across the country as well as cable network OWN. The syndicated series is produced by 44Blue Productions, EnLight Productions and T.D. Jakes Enterprises, and is currently filming in Los Angeles.
